Breakfast Turkey Sausage

1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper, ground
1/2 tsp sage, ground
1/4 tsp cumin, ground
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper, ground (optional: makes it spicy)
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
1 1/4 lb lean ground turkey
2 tsp olive oil

Directions: In a large bowl, mix together the first 9 ingredients with a fork.  Add ground turkey and mix just until spices are mixed well. (Be careful not to over mix or meat will become tough)
Form turkey mixture into patties (10-12) and cook in a large skillet over medium-high heat with a little cold pressed grapeseed oil. May cool and freeze patties to reheat for later use (if in microwave, on a paper towel, power level 6, 2 patties 2 min, 1 minute extra for each additional patty).  Makes 12 small patties.

Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees

I use my crock pot A LOT, but for everything else, I use Saladmaster pans and I love their “Saladmaster” device, perfect for making salads and shreading carrots, beats, etc as well as making sweet potato fries. They are the best pans I have found, for not leaching toxins into your food.
